Do You Have What It Takes? Credit Union members, ages 17 to 25, are eligible to get involved in the Credit Union Youth Ambassador Contest.
This is a chance to meet new people, make new friends, learn about credit unions, start building a career with your credit union, and have a chance to win over $1,000.00 cash! The Credit Union Your Ambassador of Pennsylvania Contest is a tradition that has more than 35 years of bringing youth and credit unions together for mutual benefit. Hundreds of members have participated in the program since 1996, and many are current credit union leaders in Pennsylvania.
The winner at the Mon Valley Chapter Contest that was held in November 2010 was Renee Bredniak from Washington Community FCU. Frick Tri-County FCU was represented in the Chapter Contest by Elizabeth Brunst, MSR in the Uniontown Office. Renee will compete with other finalists from across Pennsylvania during the state finals to be held on May 12, 2011. During the state finals, contestants will be asked to deliver a speech during a public program, take a written exam to judge credit union knowledge, and participate in interviews with the contest judges. The state winner gets $1000 cash, represents young credit union members for one year, and speaks to credit union officials to encourage them to offer services for young members. It's fun, exciting, and educational. Participants in the Youth Ambassador Contest represent the future of our credit unions. Everyone is a winner with an experience that you will never forget. Get involved today!
